Handmade furniture from Seven Roads Gallery is rustic in nature. We make furniture for everyday use. To our eyes a knot, an imperfection or natural twist of the wood adds character. Often that unique feature of the wood will be incorporated into the design of the furniture. Strength, durability and easy maintenance are the focus. Chicken Trastero (kitchen cabinet)
We use the label trastero not in the traditional New Mexican genre, but rather as a contemporary cabinet designed for kitchen use. It measures 69 1/2 inches tall, 36 inches wide and the shelves are 10 inches deep, 10 3/4 inches if you count the molding in front of the shelves. The finish is an unusual four color wash. The chickens are hand painted on a dark forest green background. Made of pine and a recycled cabinet door prepared with a traditional yeso finish.

Southwest Furniture
Pictured are several types of shelf units. Save for the larger cabinet, all have a complex 3or 4 color finish. Two of the cabinets have a mesh door. The door handles are driftwood from the Verde River in Arizona, most likely mesquite. We call them trasteros which is the Mexican name for a specific kind of kitchen cabinet. Linda Miller painted the image of chili peppers over the large cabinet. Prices from left to right are $175, $185, $150 and $175 respectively. Small units are 54 in. high. The larger cabinet 79 in. tall. Local delivery only.
