Mexican Birdcage
A smaller version of the turquoise green birdcage from a Tucson antique shop.It measures 12X19X9 and is made from pine and wire. The owner of the shop told us that these birdcages are a popular attraction and make a distinct decorative impression when grouped together. A Gnome Quartet

Originally part of a series intended to be called Chansons D'Amour this piece and a companion nicho called Recipe For Happiness were inspired from a book by R. Girardi called Simple Prayers.

Goddess Amulet Necklace
The centerpiece of this 20" necklace is an acrylic resin, Goddess of Willendorf amulet. On either side of the Goddess are small bone discs and two spiral design bone discs. The remainder of the piece features snake vertebrae, 1/2" horn hairpipe and Czech glass beads strung on black leather which is adjustable to 24". The theme is fertility,enlightenment and a celebration of female energy.

Poplar Bark Baskets
Beautiful baskets made locally of poplar bark, red dogwood and lacing from the inner bark of the hickory tree. They measure(in inches)approx. 10X11, 7X8 and 11X9. Individually they are priced at $60, $40 and $65 respectively. All are flat faced on the back side enabling the basket to be wall mounted. The quoted price at right is for the all three. Hemis Mana Kachina
Purchased in 1990, this doll is the first and oldest piece in our collection. Since it was acquired from a well known jewlery maker in Tucson, we have little information about Edwin Myers, the carver. Branch Coral Necklace
It is amazing how little branch coral weighs. Hundreds of tiny, red coral branches and two sizes of round , green /orange unakite beads make up the majority of this 24" necklace. Near the apex of the necklace, it branches into two strands with a large, focal-piece of red branch coral. A silver toggle clasp completes it. Coral is becoming more rare and extremely difficult to find making this a good bargain priced at the coral market back in 1998.

Gene Dalas' Ogre Woman Kachina
Subtle shades of color on Awatovi Soyok Whuti attest to the skill of Gene Dalas. In normal daylight the cape appears to be the natural color of cottonwood root, however, the camera picks up the white wash applied to the middle regions of the cape. The basket on her back is not an additional piece but carved from the original stock. She is 9 inches tall.$ 425.00$ 425.00
Sacred Heart Nicho
Constructed of pine recycled boards, this nicho measures 13X 25X 8 inches deep.The antique, sterling sacred heart milagro at the roof peak is 2 1/2 inches wide by 4 in. long. Trim details include old Mexican hinges, a cast calavo and spiral doorknob, a four color crackle finish with gold highlights. Although one may use this nicho for any sacred object, it was intended to enclose and display a santo. $ 475.00$ 475.00
Plank Table
This pine table measures 38X72X30 in. It is made from 2X12's, 2X6's and 4X4's. Around the skirt are ceramic tomato knobs that accent the painting of an old fashioned tomato seed package. Over the image are the words in French,"Tomatoes-apple of love." Local delivery only.$ 450.00$ 450.00

Ogre kachinas play an interesting part in the life of the Hopi. The saw he's carrying is intended to create fearful sounds. It is signed Fred Chapella, Hopi/Tewa and stands 12 inches from base to feather tips. $1065.00$1065.00

Crows By The Fence
Taking an old cabinet door and turning it into a retablo was the first step in creating this wonderful winter scene of the Kickapoo River Valley. It measures 20X31 in. As an explanation, a retablo is of Hispanic origin in traditional New Mexican religious art. Retablos are works of art painted on a specially prepared flat, wood board. The texture of the surface adds to a rustic feeling of the painting.

This 37" long necklace is strung on sturdy tigertail (plastic coated woven cable)incorporating snake vertebrae,sea urchin spines,small brass hishi, fluted bone beads,bone hairpipe Czech glass seed beads,bone discs, betel nut (green) cylinders,antique African glass trade beads, African sand cast beads, African pressed glass discs,ivory color African glass stack beads, pen shell hishi and a polished, moss agate disc. Long Hair Kachina
An elegant and detailed kachina signed by Gaylene Tungovia, Polacca,AZ. Standing 18" tall, this kachina has an incised cliff dwelling image at the base. Purchase notes indicate that the figure is½male dress and ½female shawl. Gaylene said that this kachina normally carries a pot on the back, however, the design on the front"called to her". Numerous Hopi designs and Gaylene's signature muted color washes complete the figure. Detail image shows the reverse side.$ 390.00$ 390.00
Mudhead Kachina
The mudhead is an ogre kachina that also presents children with presents at dawn during the bean ceremony. Cimmaron Grover added that this kachina was specifically a young person with Down's Syndrome. 10 inches tall.$ 375.00$ 375.00
Console Table
This one drawer,kitchen console table measures approx. 46X24X31(L-W-H). It is made from recycled ponderosa and white pine boards, a drawer handle( probably mesquite)of driftwood salvaged from the Verde River in Arizona and Mexican Saguaro cactus ribs purchased in Tucson as accent trim. The finish is a basic white wash with a navy and maroon accent and our own wax/color formula sealer. Truly a distinctive and functional piece of furniture. $ 275.00$ 275.00
